Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) is proud to announce its commitment to fostering global education by offering scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students. These scholarships are designed to encourage academic excellence and promote internationalization at SUT.
Undergraduate Student
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously created the initiative for Thailand to implement international cooperation project in educational development for international students from ASEAN countries to pursue higher education. Therefore, in order to humbly embrace H.R.H Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s royal initiative and generate universality, the University humbly presented the Scholarship fund according to the royal initiative to be granted to international students in ASEAN region seeking opportunity to pursue higher education in the international program of Bachelor’s Degree at Suranaree University of Technology.
Numbers of Scholarships: No more than 20 scholarships per academic year.
Eligibility Courses: The International programmes in undergraduate level are divided into Institutes and courses as follows:
- Institute of Engineering : Offer for 3 eligible courses which provide 5 scholarships for each course, giving the total of 15 scholarships
- Institute of Agriculture : Offer for 1 eligible course with the total of 5 scholarships

Graduate Student
Scholarship for SUT Graduate International Students is aimed to provide international undergraduate student earning honor class with an opportunity to pursue study at SUT graduate schools.
The Scholarship provision shall increase internationalization of Suranaree University of Technology in numerous aspects such as gaining public attention at international level, creation of education settings for both undergraduate and graduate students, formation of international network and collaboration, etc. The provision shall also develop SUT students both in quantity and quality.
Amounts of Scholarship
No more than 20 scholarships per academic year including both for Master’s and Doctoral programs shall be provided to Scholarship Recipients.
Criteria for Eligible Applicants
- Applicants need to be international students earning Bachelor’s degree with honor and applying for Master’s program, continuous Master’s/Doctoral program, or Doctoral program.
- International Applicants with Master’s degree and GPAX of over than 3.5 from other education institutes applying for Scholarship of Doctoral program need to publish at least one international journal in the top position (Q1) or middle-high position (Q2) level of Scopus database.
- Applicants need to have competent English language skill by taking English proficiency test and achieve at least minimum scores in response to SUT requirement.
- Applicants need not be recipients of other scholarships elsewhere.
